Drawing apart
Factory-Workshop for Museum Brandhorsts exhibition “5 friends”
Fancy, furry, or patterned -how are lines and shapes put together in nature? How can they be broken down into their individual parts? In this workshop, herbs, mushrooms, and other plants can be examined closely, drawn, and traced. Once the shapes have been drawn separately, can they be put together to form a whole new plant?
From sock flowers and dangerous lava plants to magical flowers that only grow when rainbows appear, a colorful collection of fantasy plants has been created!
When bound together as a booklet, the papers ultimately formed their own little fantasy herbarium.

Art appreciation cannot happen in passing; it takes time to truly perceive it.
The seating also offers people with visible or invisible disabilities who cannot stand for long periods without pain a comfortable way to enjoy the art.
The component of the concept that conveys the content of the art are the paper bags that are served with the tea, which usually contain tea bags. However, these small pieces of paper contain tea wisdom, which is supplemented on the back with questions about art appreciation and opens up new perspectives on the works.
Using various components (e.g. tea, comfortable seating), the format opened up both substantive and inclusive approaches to viewing contemporary art, adapting the welcoming gesture of tea culture and inviting contemplative art enjoyment.

POST IS GOING OFF
POSTCARD ACTION
July 2025 at Guardini90
On 17 July 2025, post really went off at the Guardini90 participatory bench: with photo material from Hadern, snippets from travel guides and magazines, the glue sticks will be working overtime! They will be used to design pre-printed postcards to send summer greetings from the neighbourhood.
Come by, sip some iced tea, collage some postcards, and surprise others with a card in their postbox.
AT KOLLEKTIV KAORLE
February 2024
Kollektiv Kaorle is a space for socio-cultural encounters and production, as well as for activating temporary use in Vienna.
On 22 February 2024, the project really took off at one of the ‘Steil Serviert’ evenings. With pre-printed postcards and printmaterial (travel guides, magazines, flyers, newspapers) collected from (book) flea markets, travel agencies and drugstores, and photo material from Kaorle, a friendly holiday wave was sent out from the collective. All that was missing was the stamp (available at the bar, including postal service) and the mail was on its way!
ACTION FOR
YOUNG CARERS
at the exhibition opening of I CARE FOR YOU
curated by Martine Klein at PLATFORM Muc
June 2025
Credit: Franziska Schrödinger
The caregiving provided to young carers addressed the central theme of the exhibition, invisible care work, and made it tangible for young visitors. Creative activities provided first impetus for reflection on their own caregiving activities.
In the workshop for creating patches, children designed individual pins that create visibility: What do I take care of in my everyday life? My pet, my sibling, or helping to set the table? The reality of young carers can also be playfully hinted at here. With wild doodles, colourful collages or small care messages, dazzling pins are created that carry the message to the outside world.
A collaborative wall hanging grew on the large felt board, piece by piece, shape by shape. Each child added their own shapes or altered existing ones. New ideas met existing compositions. Who would boldly change the work of their predecessors? And who would opt for cautious additions? Consideration and collaborative design were made tangible.

Exchange party.
Exchange with and
on paper
A discursive mediation programme for the Museum Brandhorst
How do others walk through the exhibition and what are their thoughts? How can I engage in conversation with them?
The exchange party combines art appreciation with a relaxed exchange in an informal atmosphere. Sheets with discursive questions accompany visitors through the exhibition and encourage reflection.
Leave the finished sheet behind and take another attractively designed one with you – swap your darlings!
This allows an open and informal exchange with the drawings or notes. An exchange on and with paper.

The exhibition Tacker 2024 / Preselection, which opened in July 2024, also featured the Staple Station, where visitors could staple together the risographs of the exhibiting artists displayed in the exhibition space. Stapleless, office or hand staplers – using a wide variety of stapling devices, the artist related risographs placed in the exhibition space became an interactive design tool for stapling together an individual booklet of stapled sheets.

as part of the 2022 Visual Arts Days
How can art education be sustainable and work together towards a desirable future?
From flyer to pulp to sheet. Tights, cellar grates, towels. From a mould made from old picture frames from the flea market to handmade paper from old invitations and flyers from the city gallery: here, only old things were turned into new ones.

HBKsaar x freitagsküche
For two semesters in 2021/22, students at HBKsaar and HTWsaar explored the relationship between food, art and eating in the seminar ‘In Progress’. We were invited to organise an evening at the freitagsküche in Frankfurt am Main on 24 June 2022. Together with the freitagsküche team, we cooked our menu: each dish played with the theme of colourfulness.
